Quintana Roo: The paradise of real estate investment in the Caribbean

For many years, the Mexican state of Quintana Roo has experienced unequaled growth, and the reasons are quite obvious: it is not only a beautiful land of beach and jungle, but it has also developed a series of policies that strengthen investments making it a paradise for real estate investment in the Caribbean.

The state of Quintana Roo receives more than 40% of Mexico’s international tourism, and in view of this the state Tourism Promotion Council works on strategic plans to publicize the natural wonders and the newest infrastructures in the region.

The local Tourism Secretariat announced a 3.98% increase in the number of international travelers during 2018, with a total of 6.53 million tourists. More than half of them come from the United States and almost a million from Canada.

The local government has confirmed an investment of 400 million pesos (more than 20 million dollars) to promote the tourist offerings of Quintana Roo, in an effort to reach visitors from other countries.

Between 2019 and 2021, Quintana Roo will receive more than two billion dollars of direct foreign investment, ranking third at the national level. The objective is to promote infrastructure projects, especially mega-resorts, timeshares, vacation homes, public areas, shopping centers and, of course, showcase real estate investment in the Caribbean.
